GET INVLOVED IN BUILDING
National Harmony
ERITREA
Land of Peaceful Coexistence
Eritrea is home to nine ethnic groups, each with its own language and culture. This diversity is a source of strength for Eritrea. One of the key factors that contributes to the peaceful coexistence of Eritrea's nine ethnic groups is the respect that they have for each other's cultures and traditions. Eritreans are taught from a young age to respect the differences between people.

The Eritrean people have a long history of overcoming adversity, and they are committed to building a united and prosperous nation.

VISION
Equality and Social Justice
The PFDJ's NATIONAL CHARTER which was adopted by the 3rd Congress of the EPLF/PFDJ in Naqfa, in February 1994,  calls for the creation of a society in which everyone has equal opportunity and access to basic services. It also calls for the elimination of all forms of discrimination, including discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, religion, gender, or social status.

The Charter also calls for the development of a sustainable economy that is both environmentally friendly and economically viable. It also calls for the development of a social safety net to protect the most vulnerable members of society.

CHALLENGES
Examples of Activities
It is true that attempts to divide Eritreans along religious, political, ethnic, and regional lines have increased in recent years. This is likely due to a number of factors, including the rise of social media, the spread of misinformation, and the growing influence of foreign actors. However, the resilience of the Eritrean people is winning.

Let's work together and contribute towards:.

Peace and stability: National harmony is a prerequisite for peace and stability. When people from different backgrounds feel united and respected, they are less likely to resort to conflict. This creates a more peaceful and stable environment in which everyone can thrive.

Economic development: National harmony also promotes economic development. When people feel safe and secure, they are more likely to invest in their businesses and communities. This leads to job creation and economic growth.

Social cohesion: National harmony also strengthens social cohesion. When people from different backgrounds feel connected to each other, they are more likely to work together to solve common problems. This leads to a more just and equitable society.
